Menar Russia Olympic Games were the last olympic organization of 2016 held on December 11 in St. Petersburg Vedensky Hotel where hundreds of young Menar students displayed tough competition and their amazing mental calculation shows impressed the audience. Menar students from Serbia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda had a tough competition in Menar International Olympic Games on November 26, 2016 at Crown Plaza in Vilnius. Both the home teams and visitor teams had winners in the top places. Click on the image for more details and pictures.
Menar Lithuania 2014-2015 Olympic Games were held in Vilnius in an entertaining atmosphere with the participation of a great number of students from Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda.
The award ceremony was the peak of excitment, joy and pride. Successful tudents received their certificates and trophies at the end of the day.
Ten major TV channels made news reports and interviews about the games where young Menar stars broke several world records in Sep 2015. The president of World Children's Records, Prof. Dr. Orhan Kural announced and registered 4 world records.
During the fourth Menar Cup Abacus Mental Arithmetic competitions, four world records were broken by Menar students on Sep 21, 1913. Below are the records registered by World Children's Records president Prof. Dr. Orhan Kural and the referee committee;
Record 1: 125 Menar students all at the same time correctly calculated 25 numbers flashing on the screen with a frequency of 500 miliseconds.
Record 2: Efe Ucdemir (8) of Bingol Menar accurately calculated 30 three-digit positive and negative random numbers flashing on the screen with a frequency of 500 miliseconds. Efe repeated the calculation several times with different numbers each time giving the correct result on the spot.
Record 3: Cise Eldan (6) of Kartal Menar calculated 20 four-digit random numbers several times with no mistake.
Record 4: Eymen Akbas (9) of Soma Menar displayed a blindfolded calculation performance, where she couldn't see the flashing numbers. But unbelievably she identified the numbers from the short sound tones and calculated them correctly .
About 400 Menar students from all over the country met in Istanbul Attila Ilhan Culture Center for the third Menar Competitions where they shaked the country. There were more than 10 TV channels making news programs of the event and some of them broadcast it live and had interviews with some participants.
150 Menar students from Mersin, Adana and Istanbul gathered in Mersin Culture Center on the coast of Mediterranean sea for the first Menar Abacus Mental Arithmetic Olympic Games and impressed the audience with the amazing skills they displayed. They even beat the grown-ups who were allowed to use electronic calculators to make the calculations.
I can still use my abacus even with one arm broken.
